Feed - healthy snacks and cooking hacks

In order to connect my dissertation with the my honours project, I decided to write about a social business concept that would aid children living in poverty in Dundee by actively providing cooking experiences.

Feed, is a social enterprise that would take the form of a cafe that would fill a market in Dundee by selling healthy and affordable lunch time meals. The profits from the cafe would be used to provide cooking classes during the weekends and holidays for children that were eligible for subsidised school meals in an attempt to reduce ‘holiday hunger’.

This idea would help maintain the health of children living in deprivation and also would allow them to benefit from all the educational opportunities that cooking offers.

From writing this report I was able to conduct a lot more in-depth primary and desk research into how children learn and the advantages they can experience from partaking in this activity and developing the skill of cooking.
